Group RSVPs for events
For an event, each guest is treated as a party. See Adding guest contact information for more info.
You can set a number of friends (from 0 to 7) that each of your guests can bring to your event in the "rsvp options" tab. This will be applicable for all your guests. You can also set the "Number in Party" for each guest to a number from 1 to 8. This option is there to override the global number if necessary.
Here are some examples of using this functionality:
- If you entered in the "rsvp options" of your event that Guests can bring up to 2 friends and then in the "guest list" you left the "Number in Party" for each of your guests at 1, all your guests will be able to RSVP and change the number in their party to up to 3 people. This is because the global setting allowed up to 2 friends (i.e. party of 3) per guest.
- However, if you entered that Guests can bring up to 0 friends and then in the guest list you changed the "Number in Party" for only one of your guests to 3, only that one guest will be able to RSVP and modify the names & number of the members of his/her party for up to 3 people (self included). All other guests will only be able to RSVP for themselves.
See Communicating with guests for an event for more information related to group RSVPs.
