Sending ecards to recipients
There are several different ways to use pingg to send ecards to recipients.
The most common approach is to provide recipient contact information to pingg, and have us send a link to your ecard through email. Each email message will include a unique link to your pingg ecard web site, which allows recipients to see the ecard or use other pingg features (leave messages, contribute to a fund, etc.) without having to provide any further information to pingg (we use the unique link to identify them).
Another approach is to use social networks and other internet based programs (like Facebook, Twitter, or your own email software etc.) to send out messages with a link to your pingg event web page. Recipients who follow the link will be asked to register (they will need to provide their email address as a minimum), and then they can RSVP and use other pingg features (leave messages, contribute to a fund, etc.).
You can use both these approaches together. For example, you can upload a list of recipients and have pingg send personalized links to them and then send a message with the link to another group of recipients through Facebook.
Furthermore, using pingg's unique surroundsend functionality, you can send ecards by postal delivery or SMS (text) message. Both options will include a unique link to your pingg ecard web site, which allows recipients to see the ecard or use other pingg features (leave messages, contribute to a fund, etc.) without having to provide any information to pingg (we use the unique link to identify them).
Once again, you can choose to mix and match how recipients receive ecards. You can easily only email one group of recipients, send by postal delivery to another group, and send by both email and postal delivery to a third group.
