Using Facebook
If you have a Facebook account, you have two choices for sharing your event or ecard.
Method One
You can choose to post the event/ecard image and link to your Facebook profile. An image and link to your event and ecard page, along with any comments you enter on posting, will then show up on your Facebook wall. This action will show up on your friends' news streams. Friends who visit the event and ecard web page, using the link from Facebook, will need to provide an email address to RSVP (for an event) or use other pingg features (comment, gift registry, etc.). To share your event or ecard on Facebook, check the "Post to Facebook" option under your "guest list" or "recipient list" tab.
If you've already sent your invite/ecard, you can still post to Facebook. You will find the option under the "communications" tab for an invite and under the "recipient list" tab for an ecard.
Method Two
Another approach is to send a message to selected Facebook friends with a link to your pingg event and ecard page. These messages will appear in recipients' Facebook inboxes. Friends who follow the link will be asked to register (they will need to provide their email address as a minimum). They will then be able to RSVP and use other pingg features (leave messages, contribute to a fund, etc.).
If you wish, you can use both of these methods (posting to your profile and sending a direct message to friends).
Please note that if you select the option to prevent guests/recipients from sharing your invite/ecard, then you will not be able to select to post to Facebook.
