Group RSVPs for Events

For an invitation, each guest is treated as a party. See Adding guest contact information for more details.


You can set a number of friends (from 0 to 7. "Lots of" is equivalent to 7) that each of your guests can bring to your event in the "RSVP & privacy settings" section of the "Options" page. This will be applicable for all of your guests. You can also set the "Number in Party" for each guest to a number from 1 to 8 on the "Guest list" page for each specific guest. This option is there to override the number set on the options page if necessary, or if you'd like to specify the party size for a guest(s).


Here are some examples of using this functionality:

  • If you entered in the "RSVP & privacy settings" of your event that guests can bring up to 2 friends and then on the guest list you left the "Number in Party" for each of your guests at 1, all of your guests will be able to RSVP and change the number in their party to up to 3 people. This is because the global setting allowed for up to 2 friends (i.e. party of 3 including themselves) per guest.
  • However, if you entered that guests can bring up to 0 friends and then on the guest list you changed the "Number in Party" for only one of your guests to 3, only that one guest will be able to RSVP and modify the names and number of the members of their party for up to 3 people (self included). All other guests will only be able to RSVP for themselves.


To edit the maximum number of people that each guest can bring:

  1. Log into your account, click the "account" tab and click "dashboard"
  2. Click the invitation
  3. Click the "options" tab of an unsent event or the "edit options" button of a sent event
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the maximum number from the drop down menu in "each guest may bring __ friends"


You can then save your changes at the bottom of the page.


To set a specific guest's party size:

  1. Log into your account, click the "account" tab and click "dashboard"
  2. Click the invitation
  3. Click the "guest list" tab of an unsent event or the "manage guests" button of a sent event
  4. Click the pencil icon next to the guest's entry
  5. Click the number within the "# in party" column and select a number from the drop down menu


You can then save your changes at the bottom of the page.
